Terms & Conditions
1. Engagement Overview
By engaging Zoe Sheehan and/or Like Digital (the “Designer”), the client (“Client”) agrees to the following Terms and Conditions governing all services provided, including but not limited to UX/UI design, branding, illustration, digital art direction, and creative consulting.
2. Scope of Services
Services may include:

UX/UI research, wireframes, prototypes, and component design

Branding strategy, logo creation, identity systems, and style guides
-
Illustration and custom digital artwork
-
Mockups for apparel, packaging, merchandise, and digital assets
-
File preparation, export, handover, and documentation
-
Client meetings, communication, and revision rounds
Additional project-specific tasks may be defined in writing prior to project commencement.
3. Availability & Work Hours
Due to the nature of remote creative work and efficient client support, the following minimums apply:

A minimum of 2 hours per business day (Mon–Fri) is allocated for admin, communication, and feedback loops

A minimum of 10 hours per week is billable when any project is active
Billable admin time includes:

Reviewing feedback
-
Chat/Slack/email communication
-
Preparing, uploading, or formatting files
-
Project briefing and clarification
-
Opening and setting up software/tools
-
Meetings or phone calls (scheduled or ad hoc)
4. Fees and Invoicing

The Designer’s rate is $100 AUD + GST per hour
-
Work is billed weekly, with invoices issued at the end of each work week
-
GST is charged in accordance with Australian tax law
-
Payment is due within 14 calendar days of the invoice date
Invoices reflect total hours worked; breakdowns are not provided by default but can be supplied upon request during contract discussions.
5. Time Tracking
Hours are tracked informally by the Designer using a notes-based system.
This operates on a trust-based model and reflects time spent on deliverables, communications, admin, and any creative input related to the project.
6. Revisions and Scope Creep

Each deliverable includes up to 2 rounds of reasonable revisions unless otherwise stated

Additional revision rounds, scope changes, or new requests will be billed at the standard hourly rate

If a change affects the overall direction or structure of the project, the Designer may pause the project to redefine scope and budget
7. Rush Jobs and After-Hours Work
Requests with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a 1.5x rush rate.
After-hours or weekend work is subject to availability and must be agreed upon in writing. After-hours or weekend work is 1.5x the hourly rate.
8. Intellectual Property (IP) Rights

Upon full payment, the Client receives a non-exclusive license to use the final approved work for agreed purposes

Ownership of original working files (e.g., editable Figma/Photoshop files) is not transferred unless explicitly agreed in writing

The Designer retains the right to showcase all work in her portfolio, website, or social media unless a prior NDA is signed
9. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:

Respond to messages and provide feedback in a timely manner

Supply all necessary assets and information required for the project

Make payments in accordance with invoice terms
-
Provide honest communication and professional collaboration
Delays in feedback or payment may result in project pause or termination.
10. Cancellations and Termination

Either party may terminate the project in writing with 7 days’ notice
-
Any work completed up to the date of termination will be billed at the hourly rate
-
If the Client fails to make payment or communicate over a 14-day period, the Designer reserves the right to pause or terminate the engagement
11. Liability & Warranties

The Designer is not liable for loss, damage, or errors resulting from incorrect client information or late feedback

All work is created with reasonable care and skill but is provided “as is” with no express warranty

The Designer is not liable for third-party delays, licensing issues, or misuse of deliverables once transferred
12. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to seek resolution via mediation before initiating formal legal proceedings.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
13. Privacy & Confidentiality

Any confidential materials shared by the Client will be treated with strict confidence

Likewise, the Designer expects the Client not to share private processes, drafts, or pricing details with third parties
14. Amendments
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available on the Designer’s website or sent via email upon request.
